Sorry no pictures of these new ones (if you like you can always just imagine the ones I did before–but no heads mounted yet, as it’s MUCH easier to paint the helmet white separate from the blue body).
I just plasti-glued, trimmed & shaved 20 more dire avengers last night for painting. I only need like 3-4 more for the next tournament, but I want to go ahead and finish my squads out (45 models: 10+10+10+10 + 5 variously equipped exarchs–two dual shurikens, 2 dire swords, 1 power sword+shimmer shield if I recall) for fully painted when I get back into Apocalypse.
Once I’m done with these, I’ll move on to finish my 12 Fire Dragons (10 + 2 exarchs)….and just beyond them I’ll convert Eldrad into a much more Biel-Tan style Farseer…and come up with a clever play on his name….like Ariel Bieltran or something like that as I intend to transgender Eldrad-it’s not like he used them anyways.
Once that’s done it’ll be 10 pathfinders (a mix of old and new style rangers), and then to finish my vehicles.
This’ll be about a 2-3 week chore of just infantry models alone. I might crunch and try to get the Dire Avengers done this weekend (Yes, I can do this to the previous quality pretty easily, but it does tire me), but I’m not going to push myself too hard.
