The start of a raider conversion

Thanks to Mike I’m the proud owner of a crapload of original series Dark Eldar models! The raiders were in rough shape, which suited me JUST FINE as I was going to strip them and slice them and rebuild them almost from the ground up.

I’m really liking what I see here. The front part at this point is very fragile as I need to put a dowel from the main body to the bow of the ship as all it’s hanging on right now is two drops of glue at the where the bow and hull meet.

I just wanted to get a feel for what it’ll look like.

There’s still ALOT of ideas running through my head about what to do with the blank space underneath the bow and towards the end… and most importantly, where to put the mast(s) and sail(s).

I figure it’ll be a triangular sail, it just makes sense with the size of the vessel–probably just one as well.

I might take inspiration from some Eldar Battle Fleet Gothic models that had sails. Such as this Eldar Wraithship
