Wave serpent progress #1

February 10, 2010 | Reading time: 1 minutes

I didn’t get as far as I wanted, but I effectively assembeled the rest of my kits (3 + my old reprimered serpents).

The 3 new serpents (back, bare) and the two old ones (front, primered)

And old serpent with my serpent turret conversion.

A view from the 3/4 rear.

My turret conversion is a mix of the stock wave serpent kit and a jetbike canopy.

detail of the turret bits under the hood.

Almost everything that can be removed in game or swapped is magentized, so the turret and the turret weapons are this way.

Shuriken Cannons

Just a little bit of sprue between them to space them.

Fits very nicely on the side. There is no magnet on the other side of the cannons yet, so I couldn’t show how the side bit goes on.

Armed turret on an old serpent.

Another view of the armed conversion.

Final view of the armed conversion.

This is a complete one, note the sensor on the front. It took me a few minutes to remember what bit that was..

Until I found it on the stock serpent turret.

It was a lot of cutting…. surprised I didn’t remember exactly….then again I do A LOT of converting for several armies.

Until next time……

I really wish I could have started painting on these tonight, but life catches up with me. 🙂 – Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
