15 Fire Dragons (Part 2)

March 23, 2010 | Reading time: 1 minutes

This is a very short post, as I’m tired (which starts with T, which rhymes with P which stands for PAINTING)

Okay, here’s the progress of the Fire Dragons for tonight.

I primered all of ’em white.

Basecoated in Vallejo Fiery Orange (Game Color) Washed ’em all with Chestnut Ink (Older GW Ink) Drybrushed back over with Fiery Orange again Painted Vallejo Sick Green (Game Color) in all the spots I wanted to help tie into the Craftworld Colors (faces, ribbons, etc) Painted the Melta Ammo cans Iyanden Darksun (GW Foundation Paint) (as well as one squad’s helmets) Painted some of the weaponry black (about half the squad before I started to get droopy eyed and was doing more harm than good).

I don’t think they’re in any particular order–although they should be close to chronological. First 3 were taken with my iPhone, the other 4 with my Nikon.

Yeah, so the Exarchs snuck in there to get painted too (I wasn’t intending on painting them originally). They’ve taken a few hints from those sneaky-sneaky Pathfinders & Striking Scorpions.
